What a wonderful shared experience walking around New York with Susan after her successful surgery.
We left our campsite and joined the heavy traffic heading out of NYC, then headed west towards our next must see places on our bucket list – the Bourbon Trail.
Within a few miles of leaving NYC, we paid another toll, then made good progress on excellent highways.
We left the coastal terrain behind us and drove towards the Blue Mountains. Looking at a map, one can see ridge after ridge running diagonally across Pennsylvania from the Northeast to the Southwest.
Most of the roads follow these lush agricultural valleys, with a series of tunnels cut through the mountain to join each valley.
We left the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and made good progress along Route 220 through very scenic agricultural countryside.
We arrived at the Walmart between Everett and Bedford to level the trailer and boondock in their parking lot for the night.
