With a heavy heart, I hugged my cousin Lynne, said goodbye, and pulled out the driveway. It was time to continue our adventure after an amazing reunion. Thank you Lynn and Andy for hosting us. You’re awesome.
Our GPS was configured for the next destination. It avoided the highway and took us along a very relaxing scenic route, through Waterdown, along tree lined streets, and rural roads.
We eventually joined the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) and drove over the Burlington Bay Skyway. The heavy traffic and cross winds over the bridge resulting in white knuckle driving. Everyone seems to be in a hurry to get somewhere. The desperate drivers constantly weaving in and out of traffic, making little headway.
We had a short drive, and the QEW made it feel shorter. Within an hour, we arrived at our next destination. Scott’s Family Campground is conveniently located in close proximity to many attractions in Niagara Falls.
Prior to our arrival, Susan made arrangement for her family members to visit us at the campground. Some of her Uncles and Aunts called in.
Her brother BJ and his family also visited. We had a nice supper, and sat around chatting.
After a while, we sat around the campfire listening to Mack playing his guitar. A sudden deluge of rain sent is scampering for cover, the warm flame rapidly replaced by clouds of steam.
This was repeated across the entire campground, and all guests left before the gates closed at 10:00pm. We called it a night.
