My house was on the market for three months, with many showings. All it took was the right person, at the right time to see it, and immediately fall in love with it, just like I did many years before.

The timing couldn’t be better. We had already made up our minds that we were going to start our adventure on Canada Day, and had started packing.

Now, we took on a state of urgency in our packing, lifting, carrying, stretching, pushing, pulling, and storing everything in a shipping container. All that exercise without a gym membership, I don’t know how many calories we burned. It was a tough job consuming copious amounts of Guinness to keep us going.

We handed over a set of keys to a lovely woman, who will make new memories in her house with her son, daughter, and mother.

I walked away from the house for the last time on the morning on July 1st, with a feeling of incredible sadness in my heart, and then a surge of anticipation as I prepared to embark on our adventure, making new memories with Susan and Chloe.
